Plugging a 1986 Mac Plus into the modern Web

Reviving an old computer is like restoring a classic car: There’s a thrill from bringing the ancient into the modern world.

Read more about this crazy, fascinating idea here.

Personally, though, I wouldn’t do this to my old treasures. I’d be happy enough to get them up and running, possibly connecting them through a home network.

The Mac Plus above isn’t mine (well, actually my mom’s). I got it from Wikipedia, but of course ours (mom’s) looks just the same. Only I think we got ours in 1989 or 1990. Sweden was a little later to get those first Mac computers. We also have two Mac Classics. :) I wonder if they still work or if I can get them to work again… (Any Mac experts out there…? What about our old iMacs? Could we put something new into them and revive them?). Maybe that’s a bit more realistic than reviving computers from the 80’s and 90’s. But it would be a lot of fun…
